COMPOST TURNING

Well the other day I turn my wheelie bin out that had some compost from my old garden and I have started on my others as well I have completed two out of 8 compost bins .

I was surprised by how nice and dark the middle of the heap looked when i turned it hopefully will be able to use some to fill my raised beds with?

That is the stuff at the bottom of the pile then possible top up with shop compost?

I know someone who my mother knows never turns it just leaves if for two years or more but I like to do it twice a year in the spring and autumn then hopefully this autumn will be putting some on my perennial beds

I am looking out for an aerator tool that is meant to help you turn the compost easier as you pull it back out again

Find one on YouTube to show you what I mean

I have completed 2 out of another 6 bins to go
And have put some soil from the bottom of today’s bin in 2 of my new raised beds
