I have another environmental habit that could well help me keep fit.

But it has other benefits.

There’s a department store in the centre of the Hague which has an amazing feature that few people enjoy.

It’s also free.

The store was built in 1926 and the staircase is absolutely beautiful.

It’s from a chain called the Bijenkorf which means beehive.

The staircase had stained glass windows that are amazing. By taking the stairs I’m not in need of electricity and it’s interesting.

It has different themes on every floor. If you don’t walk you don’t see it. It’s as simple as that. An exquisite secret hiding in the heart of the city.

The mirrors and the banisters all make it worth the thigh work.

When we found this staircase it increased my determination to checkout other staircases too.
